Navy admiral visits CIC, learns about innovation efforts
As part of U.S. Navy Week, Cyber Innovation Center hosted a visit Monday from Rear Admiral Dion English.
English gave a short presentation to staff before being briefed on the innovation projects undertaken by CIC's partnership with Air Force Global Strike Command.
The Slidell, Louisiana, native learned about efforts ranging from mixed reality training and advanced training concepts to data analysis, and NC3 (nuclear command, control and communications).
The one-star flag officer is the director of supply, ordnance and logistics operation division N4L in Washington D.C. English graduated from LSU in 1993 after entering the Navy’s Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection Training Program.
Navy Week consists of sailors from across the fleet visiting the Bossier-Shreveport area to take part in the service’s signature outreach program. The visit to the area is the Navy’s first since 2018.
