About the Park
Serving as the anchor of Louisiana’s Cyber Corridor, Cyber Innovation Center and its National Cyber Research Park (NCRP) provide a physical location for government, industry, and academic partners to collaborate, conduct leading research, and develop state of the art technologies.
Stretching approximately 98 miles along Interstate 20 across North Louisiana, the Cyber Corridor includes a top Fortune 200 company (Lumen Technologies), a Tier I research institution (Louisiana Tech University), and one of the nation’s fastest growing community colleges (Bossier Parish Community College). Zoned for cyber research and development activities, the NCRP represents a $107 million investment by Bossier City, Bossier Parish and the State of Louisiana. Even though we live in a “virtual” world, it is important that we foster face-to-face interactions amongst peers and industry leaders.
In July 2013, the NCRP was designated an American Electric Power (AEP) Qualified Data Center Site after passing a rigorous qualification process, confirming that the National Cyber Research Park offers a reliable and redundant power supply, strong fiber networks, low disaster risks, and a business-friendly climate. Additionally, in October 2015, CIC was the first site in Louisiana to receive AT&T’s Fiber Ready Designation.
Strategically located next to Barksdale Air Force Base (Barksdale) in Bossier City, Louisiana, the NCRP is a 3,000 acre overlay district. This location provides easy access to and from the park and offers data centers the connectivity, redundancy, survivability, and collaboration essential for new business development opportunities.
Phase I, a 64-acre tract of land, of the National Cyber Research Park is almost complete and will consist of four buildings. Cyber Innovation Center, General Dynamics Information Technology’s Bossier City Headquarters, and the Bossier Parish Community College STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) building are currently occupied. A fourth building, which will house the Louisiana Tech Research Institute (LTRI), is currently under construction thanks to additional funds secured in capital outlay.
Economic Development
The NCRP also includes a 600 acre commercial district that is home to three new hotels, a new bank, and new dining options. Since the Cyber Innovation Center was established in 2008, the NCRP’s commercial district has experienced strong growth with no signs of slowing down in the near future. The Bossier-Shreveport area offers several cost-effective business and residential incentives that have continued to help the area grow. We are located within 250 miles of Baton Rouge, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and Jackson, making our central location a hub for business and transportation.

General Dynamics Information Technology
In September 2014, CSRA, then Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), made the strategic decision to locate its new Integrated Technology Center at the National Cyber Research Park following a competitive site selection process of 134 national locations. The Integrated Technology Center brings approximately 800 new jobs to the community. Now General Dynamics, this site continues to hit its hiring projections and announced an additional 300 jobs for its Business Integration Center, which is located in the old Capital One Building on Benton Road.
Bossier Parish Community College
Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) offers associate degrees in six academic divisions. Enrollment at BPCC has grown exponentially (more than 86%) since 2009. Due to the enrollment increase and demand for degrees, BPCC has added additional buildings to accommodate students. The new BPCC STEM building houses all of BPCC’s Science, Nursing, and Allied Health programs and is located on the northwest corner of the National Cyber Research Park.
Louisiana Tech Research Institute
Louisiana Tech Research Institute (LTRI), formed as a partnership between the Cyber Innovation Center and Louisiana Tech University, is a not-for-profit corporation that focuses on innovation and developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem. LTRI supports community growth by attracting entrepreneurs and innovators who can advance basic and applied research in the areas of cyber and energy. In addition, LTRI works with these individuals to support successful technology transfer and commercialization opportunities.
