CIC sponsors AFCEA International STEM scholarship awards

The ArkLaTex Chapter of AFCEA International awarded 12 STEM High School Senior Scholarships and 8 STEM Teaching Tool Grants Friday, May 14, 2021.

 The Cyber Innovation Center was one of the sponsors for this year’s event and hosted the presentations.

Air Force Global Strike Command Chief Scientist Dr. Donna Senft was on-hand to discuss the importance of STEM careers. Collaborative Environment Director Jeff Beene represented CIC for the presentation.

Here are your 2021 AFCEA Scholarship and Honorees are:

  • Douglas Graham – Benton High School

  • Ethan Ennis – Airline High School

  • Joe Hinton – Benton High School

  • Stafford Yerger – Loyola College Prep

  • Brooke Fegley – Captain Shreve High School

  • Anna Sullivan – C.E. Byrd High School

  • Nicholas Watson – Arkansas High School

  • Jeremiah Steph – Beckville High School

  • Abby Elliot – Ruston High School

  • Jaden Glover – Parkway High School

  • Joseph Brown – Calvary Baptist

The 2021 AFCEA STEM Teaching Tool Grant Honorees are:

  • Tessa Jordan - Southwood High School

  • Amy Douglas - Captain Shreve High School

  • Jason Whitman - Southwood High School

  • Kiley Pulliam - Loyola College Prep

  • Carmen Wilson - Union Elementary School

  • Julie Carver - Trice Elementary School

  • Del Johnson - Loyola College Prep

The 15th Annual AFCEA Scholarship virtual banquet will be held May 19 at 6 p.m. with guest speaker Miss America Ms. Camille Schrier.
