Our Mission

The Collaborative Environment is an Air Force technology transfer and transition partnership between Cyber Innovation Center and Air Force Global Strike Command. We are the Command’s persistent technology transfer, technology transition, and innovation resource.

The Collaborative Environment works hand in hand with Air Force Global Strike Command to rapidly create solutions that directly benefit the warfighter and aid in revitalizing the Air Force nuclear enterprise. Our role is to further Air Force Global Strike Command’s mission and capabilities by fostering innovation and collaboration between academia, business, industry, and government to meet its technology challenges. We do this by delivering a cost-effective, scalable, and agile approach to solving the Command’s current and future advancement challenges and opportunities.

To date, the Collaborative Environment has supported Air Force Global Strike Command by convening experts on nuclear deterrence and global strike operations to meet the Command’s most difficult technical challenges, including modeling & simulation; nuclear command, control, and communications modernization; rapid prototyping; and innovation services.

STRIKEWERX Innovation Hub

The Air Force Global Strike Command Innovation Hub, branded as STRIKEWERX, features event and collaborative space for entrepreneurs or Air Force Global Strike Command teams to address short-term and/or continually changing needs in a highly collaborative environment. STRIKEWERX, an innovation arm of the AFGSC Office of the Chief Scientist, provides a path for innovative ideas and technologies to be realized by providing collaboration space in the heart of the Ark-La-Tex with proximity to Barksdale Air Force Base. The STRIKEWERX Innovation Hub provides fast, non-bureaucratic pathways for Air Force Global Strike Command stakeholders to scout the best solutions from industry and academia for Air Force Global Strike Command’s most challenging problems. Ecosystem

The Collaborative Environment has established an ecosystem that accelerates innovative solutions to the warfighter and industry. The partners in our growing ecosystem help evaluate Air Force Global Strike Command needs and link the right experts across industry, small business, academia, and defense to create successful outcomes for the warfighter.

 

 

Event Planning

The Collaborative Environment hosts government and non-government project teams working to address Air Force Global Strike Command’s biggest challenges. The Collaborative Environment facilitates these teams to be trained on innovation and collaboration tools, techniques, and processes as well as applying these principles to actual problems. The Collaborative Environment offers meeting and conference space that fosters intense collaborations with state-of-the-art capabilities, room for small team breakout areas, and workspace terminals to explore problems and potential solutions.
