The Cyber Innovation Center (CIC), located in Bossier City, Louisiana, is the anchor of the 3,000 acre National Cyber Research Park and serves as the catalyst for the development and expansion of a knowledge-based workforce throughout the region. As a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation, the CIC fosters collaboration among its partners and accelerates technology, research, and development. One of its primary missions is to develop a sustainable knowledge-based workforce that can support the growing needs of government, industry, and academia.
Craig C. Spohn, Cyber Innovation Center (CIC) Executive Director, has thirty-seven years of business experience in the Information Technology field, working in international, commercial, and federal government markets. Before serving as the Executive Director of the CIC, Craig was with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he served as Vice President for Middle East Business and coordinated SAIC’s Saudi Arabian business as General Manager of the Saudi Joint Venture.
Craig currently serves in a variety of professional organizations that include the Biomedical Research Foundation; Bossier Chamber of Commerce; Consortium for Education, Research and Technology; Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana Board; Louisiana Committee of 100 for Economic Development; Louisiana State University at Shreveport Science and Technology Council; Louisiana Tech University Cyber Engineering Advisory Board; the Military Affairs Council; Ouachita Independent Bank Board of Directors; and the Rotary of Shreveport. He also served as the Vice Chairman of Governor Jindal’s Transition Team for Higher Education in 2008 and currently serves on the Community and Technical Colleges Board of Supervisors for the fourth Congressional District.
